Gloryhole Comedy Club

And Gloryhole is back spreading laughter throughout Malmesbury with four wonderful nights throughout the season.

Alan Francis

First up the much requested return of headliner Alan Francis. Alan headlined the first ever Gloryhole Comedy club night back in 2021, and since then we've had numerous requests to re-book him. A consummate comedian that will leave your sides aching from laughter.

After winning Channel 4's So You Think You're Funny? at the Edinburgh Festival, Alan became a regular performer on the UK and international comedy circuits and has performed stand-up on TV a number of times.

He has appeared on TV in Psychoville and Mid Morning Matters with Alan Partridge and has been in Knowing Me Knowing Yule, Alistair McGowan's Big Impression, Ancona and Co, Alas Smith and Jones, The BBC Stand Up Show, the Alan Davies Show and Alexei Sayle's Stuff.

Alan has also appeared in TV dramas, Between the Lines and Taggart, and has sustained a successful theatre career, working in the West End, The Royal Court, The National Theatre of Scotland, the RSC and a number of regional theatres.

Other acts tonight include:

Ben Harrington, an established performer on the comedy circuit playing to audiences throughout England and Wales. Over the last few years, he has built an impressive resume as a comedian and entertainer.

Ben has a relatable demeanour which sometimes boils over into passionate frustrations about his challenges with the world creating energy and laughter.

In 2023 he's taking his third solo show to Edinburgh - "44 and Flippin Furious", a wry and self-deprecating take on the challenges of being relevant as a middle-aged dad and his place in the world.
