Demystifying the art of improvisation with Andy Nowak.
You may remember Andy Nowak who gave an outstanding performance last season with his wonderful instrumental jazz trio. This season we'll be seeing quite a lot of Andy as he is our artist in residence and will be delivering a series of six masterclasses as well as three Jam Sessions.
Jump Start Jazz is a course aimed at the aspiring musician who wishes to learn how to improvise over jazz standards and related music. For those that are just starting their journey or are already on their way, JSJ will give you the tools you'll need in a fun, safe and engaging space to tackle the music you love.
'Jumpstart jazz is a fantastic programme, I started as a complete beginner to jazz and by the time the course had finished I felt well versed in the fundamentals of playing through standards, Andy leaves no stone unturned.' - Tristan, Bristol.
